Welcome to His By Design. I'm so thankful you've taken time out of your busy day to stop by. Grab a cup of coffee (or chai tea) and join me on this journey as we explore what it means to be HIS by design!

I love Psalm 139. When I was in college, I memorized this beautiful tribute to God's power and faithfulness. Verses 13-14 say, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." God designed you just like you are for His glory. He had a specific purpose in mind for you. Have you discovered it yet? His primary purpose is for you to know Him intimately and live every day in His presence. But He has given you gifts and abilities. He has placed you right where you live right now in 2024. He has put desires in your heart. If you're still not sure what His plan is for you, ask Him to show you the next steps and simply obey Him!

If you're a young mom, His purpose for you is to love your children and raise them to love Jesus, to be obedient, and to find their own purpose. If you're a wife, his purpose for you is to love your husband. If you're an employee, His purpose for you is to work wholeheartedly not simply for your employer, but for the Lord.

In my first book, Fed By Design I wrote about God's perfect design for infant feeding. Helping new mothers realize His beautiful plan for them to breastfeed their babies has become my life's work. For 28 years I have been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I've helped thousands of mothers and babies experience the joy of nursing.

Now, however, I am becoming more focused on my responsibility as an author to encourage the broader body of Christ. My second book is called Pardon Me, Your Unbelief is Showing. It deals with the unholy triad of doubt, worry, and fear. God's design for us does not include any of these. He has much to say about each of these and gives us tools in His Word to overcome them.

I'd love to hear how you are seeing God's design in your life. I pray that as we continue on this journey together, you will grow in your knowledge of His specific plan for you and walk in the joy of knowing that you are truly HIS by design. What topics would you like to see addressed here?
