Angel suffered a traumatic injury to her neck and spine. She immediately lost sensation from the waist down. Fortunately, a passerby saw the tree on the car and called 911. Her injuries were so severe that she was rushed by ambulance from Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville where she had immediate emergency surgery.

“I have something special for you, son,” his dad said. “Wait right here for a minute.” When he returned from his bedroom he was carrying a small box. “Before your mom died, she asked me to save this for you. We both had prayed that God would lead you to the right woman in His timing. Your mom wanted you to have her engagement ring when that day came.”

Together, they walked to his bright blue Jeep Rubicon, where he opened the passenger door for her and helped her into the seat.

The past two months had been filled with challenges for Miller Industries and it’s CEO Lance Miller.
