About Glenni
 Glenni Lorick is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with 15 years experience working with mothers and babies. A graduate of John Brown University (1980) with a BSEd in English, Glenni has taught English, Spanish, and journalism. She has been married to Rev. Keith Lorick for 23 years and has four children, Sarah (19), Daniel (16), Anna Joy (12), and John Carl (9).
Her professional experience in lactation includes designing curriculum, teaching breastfeeding classes for mothers as well as for health-care professionals, writing protocol for a birthing center, and providing lactation consultation services. She has also served as a missionary in Central and South America. During her time in Peru she introduced the professional certification exam for lactation consultants and saw the profession gain rapid popularity there. Currently she is in private practice at A Nurturing Moment, a maternity and nursing boutique in Huntsville, AL.
Glenni has published articles in the following publications:
Growing Up, The Wet Set Gazette, and
The Journal of Human Lactation. Currently she is the publisher and editor of
Valley Babies, a magazine designed to provide education, information, support and encouragement for hopeful, expectant and new parents in the Tennessee Valley (North Alabama).
